renewed my insurance with ducati insurance yesterday on my 1199s commuter and asked if i can add to my insurance 5x other bikes which are SORN (and currently un-insured). been told that ducati insurance can only cover bikes which are used and not the bikes from collections. found it rather strange but was very busy at work and didn't have time to argue. anyone have SORN bikes insured with DI?
Insurance companies just love paying up, don't they. Most bikes are on a SORN over winter, I'd be seeing the fookers in court if they refused to pay out. Surely a bike on the road is more of a risk than one locked away, unless they think people will insure a bike on a SORN to do some kind of insurance job.
