And it's an Audi appointment too  Hopefully it'll be a good move for Dovi. I think he's much underrated
Wow, what a surprise.....................................not. Dovi is steady eddy and has the right passport. I hope he goes well and keeps Hayden busy.
Ducati is the poisoned chalice if Dovi cant do it then Ducati would be better off pulling out of motogp, we know that Dovi is up there or there abouts on a satellite Yam and was the same on a factory Honda. Methinks this is or should be last chance saloon for Ducati, if Dovi is nowhere they are fooked, maybe they should get the wsb team to sort the bike out.
I couldnt translate anything, I dont speak a word of Italian......how do any of you know what it said?
Give this a try Google Translate Or you could try this http://www.motomatters.com/news/2012/08/12/andrea_dovizioso_a_two_year_deal_with_du.html Google is your friend
It seems being a factory rider is more important than being at the front for Dovi then. Kiss goodbye to your GP career Andrea.
Yup, that sums it up Then again after three seasons on a Honda and acheiving very little ,his career was on a hiding to nothing anyway.
All of which means if Cal stays at Tech3, he wont have to get past Dovi's 'mobile chicane' impression ........ Going to get very embarrassing for Yam if Cal starts beating VR on 'last years' bikes
He's a great racer and very consistent, mixing with the big boys up the front most of the season. It'll be interesting to see how he does at Ducati. I'm not an engineer but I do have a degree in applied physics. I wish Ducati had stuck with the frameless design, it would have taken a couple of seasons to see an improvement but going to a third party for a frame made from a material Ducati don't make frames from doesn't sound sensible. They were never going to get an instant fix from it. I wonder what they'll be using next year ? Hopefully, the money from Audi will make a difference and a couple of steady years might improve their results - that and getting rid of the stupid control tyre rule.
Maybe right but also look to the possible future of motogp there's talk of more CRT type bikes, factory motor custom frames Ducati have this already....
I couldn't agree more, he's hell bent on a factory ride regardless of who it is he's racing for. career suicide if you ask me !
Dovi is good enough, but this would be three manufacturers in three seasons. I guess he's just going for the clubcard points. Ducati will only need to cover up the 6 on Rossi bike as well. Handy for spares . In all seriousness, Dovi is an excellent choice. He's fast, but most importantly he's smooth.
Speak French. Studied Spanish. Italian is pretty plain sailing to understand, so long as it's relatively simple stuff. Not sure I'd fare too well with a thesis on string theory. But then I don't in English either (I've tried).
I don't believe Dovi is good enough...why else would Honda and now Yamaha let him go if he was the next best thing? I'd rather the Ducati end his career than Crutchlows tho, I just hope if Dovi does go to Ducati, that Cal manages to stay in gp on the tech3 bike and doesn't have that took from under his nose.
