Hi all, I’m planning a trip with some mates from Essex to Minehead next month for a few days and would love some recommendations for good roads to ride on the way and while there. am thinking Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset etc. Thanks in advance J

Careful on the A272, a magnet for bikes and the law From Winchester I’d head towards Stockbridge, onto Salisbury, passed Wilton House and then on to Shaftsbury on the A30 (look out for the WW1 regiment chalk carvings in the hillside). From there head south on the A350 down to Blandford, then the A354 to Puddletown, A35 to Dorchester, on to Winterbourne Abbas, then head south to Portesham and Abbotsbury then the coast road B3157 on to West Bay (don’t speed through the 30’s!)
