Southwest/surrey Riders

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Jimmy899, Aug 2, 2014.

  1. Seem to be loosing my regular riding partners to girlfriends and babies.... If anyone in the southwest fancies a ride out over the summer please get in touch. I'm sure there is probably a Ducati motley crew knocking about, and I'm getting bored making conversation with my helmet.

  2. Head over to Box, you'll find loads there ;)

  3. Looking to go for a few hoons down to the coast rather then eat greasy burgers and stare at other bikes :)

  4. I am off to Beaulieu in next half hour Jimmy via Guildford but prob too short notice plus am on Elefant not sportsbike/Ducati ; )

  5. I went out at 2:30 from Heathrow, cross country to A3, then to Newlands...double Chicken Burger and a Hot Chocolate.
Guildford City, Hogs back to Farnham (accident near Shepard n Flock roundabout), then Bentley, Bucks horn oak, Frensham, Tilford, Seale, Puttenham, home via Guildford Bypass and M25 / M3.

  6. I missed the boat yesterday. Going to take the A31 then A32 down the coast today if anyone is about... Chris, I can allow myself to be seen with non sportsbikes ;)

  7. Have a good one Jimmy, ended up doing A31 for most of route yesterday so won't join you today plus showing age as a little tired .

  8. Far better to head further along the coast than down the A32, even over towards petworth then down to Worthing or further over to Brighton

  9. That depends where you are starting from, I took the 285 back via Petworth. Great day for it, not quite the high temperatures we've had the past few weeks.

  10. I can recommend the B2141 for a fast ride Jimmy next time you are on or near the A285.

I turn off the A272 at Rogate which is about 6 miles after Midhurst ( going westwards) and follow the signs for South Harting. Once in SH head towards Chichester, and after about 1/2 mile take the B2141. You then have some splendid hairpin bends winding up to a ridge on top of the south downs and then over the top and continue until you eventually intersect the A285 and then ride back into Midhurst.

    Best done mid week btw!
