I appreciate that in common with other models without a centre stand, the correct chain tension is usually adjusted with the bike on the side stand. I’m sure I’m not the only one that finds this a PITA. Finding the tight spot & then adjusting correctly on the side stand is less convenient than it should be, especially with the bike leaning over on the chain side. I currently have the bike on an abba stand on a bike lift after new tyre fitment. It would be much easier to work with the bike at a higher level and much easier to rotate the rear wheel to find the tight spot in the first place. So, my question is, is there a measurement for the correct amount of chain slack when the rear is not under load on the side stand? Surely there must be a way to calculate this?
Maybe go through the pain of adjusting it correctly on the side stand, then mount on the Abba stand and measure?
