As per the title really, I just wondered if anyone is or has ran the sportsmart 2's on the multistrada 1200 I currently have pr3 fitted and although worn they perform well in the wet I just wondered what the Dunlop are like in the wet as I don't intend to do much wet weather but its nice to know they'll work
I've got 2s on my hyper. Fantastic wet or dry. Roadsmarts if the temp regularly gets below 2 degrees, otherwise Sportsmarts.
Put them on before a trip to Corsica really liked them but back tyre was bald after 2000 miles not really suitable for 2 up touring with luggage, they kept their profile well, no flat spots and stuck like glue
I presume you're running them on the multi 1200? You see I just did 1100miles 2 up with the mrs and whilst that's hardly an everyday occurrence I also need to consider the uses ill put them through. Normally on a lighter sportsbike with occasional track days I wouldn't think twice as I had the sportsmart 1 on the blade and tuono v4 and they lasted well. When you say the tyre was bald didn't it square off?
yes 1200 multi, I'd tried roadsmart 2 and just fancied a change, think the twisty roads and high temperature may have led to the rapid wear. Think the Route Napolean and Gorge Verdun finally saw the rear off. Managed to get an Angel GT in Ducati Grenoble and put a matching front on before going to Italy. But no it didn't square off.
