  1. Anyone know if the Ducati spotlights, or lights of intimidation as I prefer to call them, have to be activated by the dealer, just transferred them to my 1260 but they're not working, all fittings and loom connector are the same

  2. Yes, mine were.

  3. Yeap, they have to be enabled by the dealer.

  4. Thanks for the replies, it's strange that the dealer has to enable them, yet the keyless filler cap works straight away .

  5. Ahem...money maker...

  6. Also watch out as someone posted on here that if you ever unplug 1 or both of them you have to get them activated again. Just had mine done with recall free of charge.

  7. I had a fault on the cable between the main loom and the aux lamps, and an error light came up on the dash. It appears the aux lamps are controlled by the CANbus so that could explain why they need activation.

The keyless / hands-free filler cap must be controlled by a simple timer circuit which holds the cap lock open for a set period (20 seconds?) after the power to the rest of the bike is switched off (so no CANbus available or required).
