Hi I am a newbie here having just bought an ST2, my question is on the LCD everything works the only that doesn't is the temp as it stays saying "LO", is it a temp sensor problem so the bike will not switch the fan on if it gets to hot or is it something else. thanks for your help
That is normal , until the engine gets up to temperature . Once the thermostat opens , and water flows to the radiator the gauge should start showing the actual temp. If it doesn't , the sensor may be faulty ...... but check it with a multi-meter before ordering a replacement . PS - The fans won't start until the temp reaches about 102 C
The temp digits on my ST3s crept into the 90's yesterday - very slow moving traffic - and I was a little disappointed it didn't start the fan - as soon as the traffic got freer, the temp soon dropped back to the mid-70's.
The ST2 has 2 sensors - one for thé ÉCU and fans and the other is for the gauge. Most likely to be a loose wire I’d say.
