St3 Fuel Leak

  1. Morning All,
Walked out to the bike this morning to find the tank had dumped most of its fuel on the floor and over the engine.
Apart from the obvious tank leaking at the seam and fuel connector failure, is there anything else I should look for?
As a side note, since buying the bike I've had issues with the ECU light coming on and fuel gauge issues so I'm wondering if these two things are related?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I've found the leak and this is quite a bad one!
If you use a Baglux harness, be very careful on how it's fitted and remove it after use.
I, as a rule wax the tank and leave it on, taking it off half yearly to re-wax the tank
My tank is leaking from the seam where my Baglux harness clips round on to elasticated hooks. It's leaking from both sides exactly where the harness hooks up.
    Now to find a tank....

  3. I'm you should be able to get it brazed by a suitable person. Seen alot of people cutting the bottoms off tanks to blast and repair then braze up latley!
