Hello, does anyone know how to replace the neutral light switch on an ST4 please. Mine is flickering away quite happily now in all gears !!!! thanks Kev
The switch sits at the back of the engine on the rh side, when sitting on the bike. Its a right little s*d to get out as well. There will also be a shim or two as well that will be under the head. If I remember correctly the switch shorts to earth when in neutral, so it could be a case of the wire to the switch has rubbed through the insulation and is grounding out through the frame. Just a few thoughts to play with.
As above, it may be a simple short to earth. They are a bit tricky to get out, access isn't great and as they're recessed and have a wire sticking out the back you can't use a socket and a spanner is awkward!
