1200 DVT Standard Dvt H11 Upgrades

  1. Anyone upgraded the standard bulbs on thier DVT? I’m thinking of upgrading the two H11 low beams to OSRAM Nightbreaker Unlimited. I’m looking for a whiter light really. Any advice? (No suggestions to buy an S with LEDs please as my budget wouldn’t stretch).

  2. Ahh, ok, beat me to it....Doh !! :D

  3. Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited are what I’ve just taken off the KTM. A little improvement over stock but still weak yellow rather than white.

I’ve just (Wednesday) done my first night ride with my new LED bulb (just purchased a £20 jobby to try out) and it’s properly bright. Had to adjust it all the way down to get it acceptable. No flashes from oncoming cars and only one driver adjusted her rear view when I got a bit close (but have adjusted further down when I got home). It’s ridiculously good.

Where did you get them? Any issues fitting?

  5. Amazon (although mine’s a H4 on the KTM). Only issue fitting is the fan on the back that meant I had to trim the rubber boot. Not an issue for me as the headlight rear is pretty well enclosed from weather and a new boot is dirt cheap should I regret it. Other than that it was a simply swap and adjust.

  6. I’ve gone for a pair of Phillips Diamond Vision Ultimate White Light H11s (as seen fitted to the Missenden Flyers Panigale). They’re very white, looking like leds. They’re no better at night but make the bike more modern looking and easier to spot by car drivers (according to my mate, from his rear view mirror check).

  8. YouTube bike review blogger bloke.

  9. He put these bulbs in to replace the yellow ones on his Panigale. The video shows the difference very well.
