Sometimes when starting my 1098s it turns over for some time before it starts! When I had the last service the guy mentioned something about something (sorry I'm an incompetent) due to it not firing straight away. Took the bike out Sunday and on trying to start it turned over for a bit then died, hit the button again and it started. Like I said its fairly common, although when out and after stops of short or long periods there's no problem? Anyone
maybe the earth route of engine to battery......get a bigger newer cleaner earth cable engine to battery....
BBR I had similar issues and replaced the battery, it helped a bit but was not the real culprit in my case. Get a heavy duty set of replacement leads for the battery to solenoid, solenoid to starter and battery neg to engine casing. You'll be amazed at the difference. The leads Ducati install are pants. Should find something to meet the requirements on the bay of thieves John
