STM Clutch Spider spring

  1. Hi looking for a replacement spider spring for an STM 48t slipper clutch. Any help appreciated. Ta.
     
  2. better off buying a new one from motorapido or another dealer
     
  3. Sit down when they tell you the price
     
  4. Ive a rough idea its gonna cost me sorely.

  6. Popping down to HM tomorrow lunchtime as theyre just 5 mins from me. They have one in stock. They just need me to bring my clutch along. I reckon about 60 notes too. Daylight robbery.

    Mine has a crack
     
  7. I have the same problem with my STM Slipper, so it now sits on a shelf in the garage, standard clutch refitted for now.

  8. I swear a small dab of weld would sort it but I dont have a welder. Besides the heat would likely ruin its tensile properties.

    Anyway, its not a huge issue. Not like ive blown a piston or something silly like that. :rolleyes: :tongue:

  10. I'm a mechanical engineer. I cannot bodge things on my own stuff. Everyone else's…well fuck em. :biggrin:

  12. If its the standard slipper spider spring its about £45 from JHP if memory serves me right so no biggy.STM have done a updated version of hub and spider spring design also.See pic of this newer version (middle far right of pic).
