Have just seen a cat using its paw to pull down a dried Ice Plant stem down and then proceed to eat the seed heads. It spent about 5 mins doing this. any of you cat owners seen this before?
One of mine (now gone) used to drag blanket weed out of the pond and eat it.......... However, not that long before she was put down, she had also started to eat cat litter which was the first sign she had some sort of a serious problem.......
They are strange creatures Al.years ago when I was a lad we had a cat who would leap up on the table and watch me putting stamps in my album. It would sit there patiently just watching, almost as if it was taking part in my hobby.
Our dog would eat the lawn! Soil and grass, we thought we was just mental until he was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen. Miss the poor little bugger.
We had a cat which used the door knocker to ask to be let in. She also loved switching lights on and off in the hall and on the landing. She was great.
I had to pull green tennis ball fur from my dogs arse the the other day...:Wideyed: A whole new low... Or perhaps I'm a magician?
Cats will generally eat some sort of plant matter - often grass, but could be anything they can get their ill-suited teeth into. They need it for digestive roughage. On a more comedic note, one of our cats used to perch on the edge of the loo and pee into the bowl. Very intelligent but didn't half look daft!
Personally, I'd take it down the vet and ask him to give it a special injection and pick up any other cats on the way and have them done too, just in case.... Sorry, not a cat person if you weren't sure ....
I had a deaf white cat (as they often are) that also used the toilet and I thought it was unique! The cat would also carry trophies up to the bedroom in the middle of the night and announce loudly, usually just a glove as she never caught any wildlife. Pond weed was also occasionally dragged into the house and once some 6 ft long Pampas grass. Always kept us amused.
Our Lupus will grab your trousers or shorts at the Knee and pull you to the door to let him outside. At the best part of 2 stone...it's best you follow.
My Emma had to follow one of ours for two days with scissors after 450mm of elastic from a "Cat tree toy" went temporarily missing. Sausages anyone?
