Fancied one of these for a while now so I think I might treat myself this season - ignoring the fact the weather wont let me use it much! Only had a short run on a 1098 (non S) last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Though found the clutch quite snatchy but Im used to my wet one on the GSXR600. Love the look of the S, particularly with the colour coded frame. Noise from engine and chatter of clutch is brilliant. Just been looking through the classified there seems to be alot of 848's for sale now. Hadnt really considered it as in my naivety I tarred it as a lesser model. Also as mentioned, love the dry clutch. My uses would only be fair weather and for grin factor. GSXR does well but find it 'slow' now and head down gets tiring. Ignoring price - which are very similar anyway - is one better than the other?
