So today after a quick blast on the SFV4 I stopped to fill the tank before heading home. When riding up my street in 1st gear a swear I could smell petrol. Once on the drive I found the left side frame sticker glue residue under the tank running down the frame. Could this be fuel or just a coincendance from heat?? Pretty sure there's a few breather and spill pipes for the tank in that general area. Anyone else has similar issues?
Beware when anyone asks ‘Can you smell petrol’ It’s a line I often use to great amusement. Hope you get to bottom of it
Yes, there are 2 breather/vent lines down the left side (as you sit) and the fuel feed pipe is down the right side. I’ve had fuel leak issues on my V4S panigale but they were due to aftermarket tanks. The only place you’re likely to have a leak is the black hose on the fuel feed side. Unlikely though I’d say…
