Scott - it might be worth looking at the Hyperstrada stuff, as I think they have an 'engine guard'. A side pic should be enough to see I reckon... You concerned about the 'exposed' oil filter?
Iv seen an Sw motech sump guard but i think it just fits the 821, as the 939 has an oil cooler If its just for chips at the front evotech performance make a set of guards. I have their stuff on my 950sp, its really nice quality. U can get an engine guard, rad guard, and oil cooler guard https://bit.ly/2S1b82q
