1260 Suspension Setup - All Medium?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by freshage, Sep 25, 2020.

  1. Tinkering with the new toy this morning, after yesterday I noticed touring mode was very soft. Had a look in the settings and all modes, for both front and back have medium suspension stiffness. Is this just the default and I am to change to my liking or does it already have pre set modes?

Not fussed either way, I just don't want to change anything this early on without putting some miles on the belt, more of a curiosity.

    Thanks

  2. My understanding is that each mode has a different baseline of damping settings with all modes set as default to medium. This would mean that medium for Touring does not have the same compression and rebound damping settings as medium in Sport mode.

  3. Default is medium in all modes. I have mine set to harder front and back in touring mode as I found it too soft in default (Medium). You can also add more rear preload by selecting rider and luggage when riding solo, even though you don't have the luggage fitted. For me that is my preferred setting.

  4. Awesome, thanks guys. That clears it up, touring is a little too soft so I'll put it into the next option up.

  5. Set mine for two-up touring with all the luggage, max preload on the rear, front preload set for my weight, front and rear compression/rebound settings hard for both, had it on medium to start with and the rear was squatting coming out of corners, seem to have it right now, touring at least.

  6. Had mine set up by a local suspension specialist. £50 for an hours work and me hopping on and off the bike until they got it right. Best £50 I spent on the bike.
