Evening all Whilst fitting trickle charger tails to my 999 tonight noticed oil on exhaust as per pic attached. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of it and it seems fresh-ish. Last time I had bike out was last Thursday. There seems to be a bit seeping down to deep sump nut also, though isn't coming from sump itself. Wondering has anyone come across oil at this position before? Cheers Dave
I had an oil leak through the seal on the clutch pushrod on my 916. The oil would drip when on the sidestand onto the exhaust pipe and then smoke when it was started and burnt it off. Initially there wasn't enough to cause a problem (other than startup smoke) and it was tricky to see exactly where it was coming from but eventually there was enough in the clutch to make it slip...
Lovely. Going to bleed clutch tomorrow night so will take out slave cylinder and pushrod and see if seals are intact
