Swapping clutch slave cylinder?

  1. Hi all.

I'm about to swap my slave, just want to check I'm going about it the right way.

    Do I-

    1- bleed out old fluid
2- remove old slave and detach line
3- attach line to new slave then onto bike
4- bleed through fresh fluid until all air is gone.

Or am incompletely off the mark and about to feck things up good and proper!

any advice appreciated excluding 'google is your friend' and 'do a search' as I already have.

  2. You ain't far off just don't bleed the fluid out just loosen the pipe half a turn then undo the slave keep the cap on the master cylinder and don't squeeze the clutch, when the slave cylinder bolts have been removed unscrew the the slave cylinder off the pipe and screw the new one straight back on refit the bolts and then nip the pipe up
Bleed system and your done !

  3. Cheers. Saved me a lot of work. Job for me tomorrow afternoon.
