Does anyone have any tips for restoring a 888 Swingarm ? There are a few scratches and marks from age that would be great to remove, can it be sanded / re-finished in some way ?
Depends how far you want to go... to get it proper mint, you’d have to strip it down completely so there’s no steel parts on, get it machine polished and then re anodised. Shouldn’t cost more then £50 for polishing and about the same for re anodising. Or polish it up a bit and rattle can it.
Thanks Bettes, I have been watching some youtube videos on Moto cross bike swingarm restoration, they mention getting the arm machine polished then using Scottish brite to put the factory brushed look back into the aluminum.
