The technology exists now, but it'll be a case of..... We can use it when the oil companies say so I suspect....
Agree, the oil companies have done their best to buy up a lot of start up hydrogen/electric companies/patents to keep the status quo for oil going and also keep a "new technology in the packet just in case", goes back to the 60's https://www.theguardian.com/busines...-records-exxon-co2-emission-reduction-patents Last year a number of companies showed their hand on Hydrogen particularly https://www.triplepundit.com/2017/04/amazon-hydrogen-fuell-cell/ https://www.upi.com/Big-oil-big-auto-tout-hydrogen-as-next-clean-fuel-choice/6341484736047/ The worry now is, is it too late when a number of countries have said electric by 2040, I hope it isn't. I wonder if it will be like the vhs versus betamax battle?
I honestly believe that Batteries are Betamax, Hydrogen is VHS and beyond. The fatcat car companies however, are not about to do a U-turn on the billions invested in battery tech, but we all know, it's not the way forward.
