before I go at it with a hammer and chisel presume this badge is glued/stuck on? Bought a replacement panel as original was scratched when I bought it, there is a screw underneath the badge to remove the panel so presume heat it up and with a length of thread cut through the adhesive and then silicone/glue it to the new panel once fitted?
Yes I’d try a bit of fishing line behind it to remove and then some number plate tape or similar to put it back on. I’m not a fan of using silicone personally. (I’ve never removed one of those particular badges though).
