Hi Folks, picked my new Mutley up last Saturday and loving it so far!! quick question I want to look at protection the tank from dulling from my knees etc and wondered what people had found to be the best option? Historically I've always had a tank spine protector on old bikes to stop jacket zip scratching and used the likes of carbon dots to protect the tank sides at knee level (yes I'm going back a few years) but times move on and I'd like something that sits well on the Mutley but offers decent protecting at the same time. Any info, pictures / links / opinions you may have would be most appreciated, many thanks in advance!
I use this one: Marke: Ducati, Modell: Multistrada 1200, Baujahr: 2015 Multistrada 12 The shop is in Germany . The product is cheap, easy to work with and functional. -Heimo

Hi, I used something called helicopter tape from eBay (union-mart) supplied, i made a couple of templates and used it on a couple of parts due to wear on the frame and engine casing, this has been on since October and seems to do the job, not sure if anyone else has had issues with paint wear on the engine casing or frame but it prevented it from getting worse. you can just see the stuff on the side panel, my leathers were scuffing the paint so applied this, if you do want to remove i would seriously recommend heating first as the glue us is very strong, you wouldn't want the paint to come away. you can get in matt if using on engine etc, but this didn't seem to last as well and went manky in a few days.
