1299 Termi’ Exhaust - Plug And Play?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Ian, Aug 24, 2019.

  1. Im currently eyeing up a pair of Termi silencers for my 2016 1299. They are described as ‘Plug and play’. Surely it’ll need a different map? They also come with a different (presumably more free flowing) air filter.
I fitted Termi cans (baffle out) to my 1198 and that needed reflashing to run well?

  2. I’m also looking at a full Termi system (second hand). How tricky / expensive is a reflash please - and where could I get one done?

  3. Termi cans don't fit the 1299 headers so not exactly plug and play, ideally you will need the full Termi system, as a general rule Termi 899/1199 and Akra 1299.

  4. There’s a full system on eBay now at £899

  5. Get a proper remap, the up maps are shit !

  6. Where do you recommend to have that done ?

  7. There’s lot of good place mate depending on your location..

But for Ducati I’d say someone like moto rapido, jhs or jhp

  8. There is?
I can’t see it! There’s a couple of others that look ok though.
I went out for a couple of hundred miles yesterday through Mid Wales. Im not really sure I need more noise at present. At present it’s loud when I’d want it to be but reasonable on dual carriageways and motorways. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not so planning on touring on it (again) and I don’t want a Goldwing but it’s seeming to sit on the fence between silly loud (eg my 851) and whisper quiet? It wasn’t bad on a 500 mile trip in one day to the Nurburgring, or 300 miles to Scotland. Just my opinion, I’m expecting abuse!
