Termignoni Exhaust Springs

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by RickyX, Apr 24, 2018.

  1. I need a couple of springs for my 749R 57mm full system as they can occasionally break.
Just been to P&H to see if they have any but they are not listed as a Ducati part and they would need to get them from Termignoni themselves.

Anybody know of an alternative (eBay?) source to get springs?

  2. Worth calling Rich at Luigi Moto? He may have a couple kicking about.

  3. I'd be interested in this too. I have one spare rattling around my bits tin from recollection. would also like ones with their little rubber jackets. :)

  6. Alan from A&R racing will have these in stock. He has a van at pretty much every race meeting going but also does mail order. He's a nice chap too

  7. Hi!
Would those fit in a 54mm symmetric system? I’m buying that system for the shallow sump and black swing arm and it comes without springs, nuts and bolts, so I have to buy them. Any recommendations for the nuts, bolts and brackets if needed? Will OEM nuts and bolts fit?

    Thank you!

  8. @Factoni I see no reason why they would not.
There are a number of different spring lengths required normally. I suggest that you measure the distance between the “hooks” on the exhaust and select a suitable length of spring that will be nicely tensioned once installed I.e. will be shorter than the distance between the hooks but needs to be physically expanded 10-20mm to fit.
Regarding bolts and brackets - not sure what OEM brackets you already have - put the system on and then see if the ones you have are ok.

  9. @RickyX , I will do so. I wanted to knew before as I don’t have the exhaust yet. I have the nuts and bolts coming with the OEM system. I guess they should be the same, as the holes in the bike are already done.

    Thank you!

  10. As far as I know, the only bracket is the one near the RH footrest - otherwise there’s just the silencer attachment to the subframe which should be part of the silencer.
The one by the footrest is a sort of “dog-bone” thing with rubber inserts.
Any bolts of a suitable length will do...I have button head stainless on mine.

  11. That dog bone was the bracket I was thinking about...

    Thanks for your help!
