I've seen a number of Ducatis out on runs with local groups from Reading and Wokingham since I joined a couple of months ago, so I was wondering if any TVAM members are on the forum ? Andy
I was whilst I did my IAM course/test. Mick Goodall was my observer and a bloody good bloke he is too. Once I'd passed my test I went out on one of the group rides but lasted about 4 miles due to most of them being useless verging on the dangerous. As a club tough its certainly well sorted out.
That is interesting as certainly my impression of TVAM of old was progress at any cost but the observers I been out with have always insisted on rigidly sticking to posted speed limits and only making progress when you are not exposing yourself to risks. The social rides I've been on have tended to be mostly associates so have been quite disciplined with overtaking in the group being the exception not the rule. I have been advised that their 'A' rides are frantic affairs which I have no interest in, I like to enjoy the countryside I'm riding through. Andy
