The Thread Of Stupid Questions

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Count_Ducoo, Oct 2, 2021.

  1. After going on a binge of track day videos today why have people got sweat bands on their clutch / brake reservoirs, I am prepared for the roasting :eyes:

  2. I think its because the brake reservoir on a track bike might leak a little due to the fluid heating up and expanding causing the lid lift & leak. The "sweat band" stops the fluid from dripping/ spraying off onto your visor and paintwork. Apparently red ones also give your bike additional speed...

  5. I did wonder why the fluid caps of my 2004 999 Bipostp were in such a state with the paint lifting off.

Anyone know of a sensible UK supply of replacement caps? (I did find a site on line grandado (or similar) but it had the feel of somewhere you send your money and nothing ever arrives).

  6. Paint flaking on a Ducati is nothing unusual, it’s part of the joy of ownership.
