So, I've finally got my bike all dressed. Now I had got plans to get most of it painted, red obviously. But a pal said it'd be a shame to hide how well finished the bodywork is. Just wondering what others think.
Tidy finish, but if it were mine I'd say paint. Looks unique (obv) but also sorta unfinished? Big for the wheels.
I would got for the ducati corse black, red and white scheme, but use the carbon as the black. Carbon bikes look stunning up close, but from a distance just look black and a bit dull.
Well, i had planned on this, but maybe with bare carbon number boards on the seat unit and nose. Sorry if it's sideways, can't seem to turn it.
Yes andyb, desmosedici replica fairing. Not everyones taste i know but that's partly why it's there. This is my Ducati, i don't want it the same as every other one, which is why i tuned it instead of just buying a 1098. Sensible choices are not really my thing. And i really want a D16, so after a few (a lot of) beers, and if i squint really hard i can kinda pretend i've got one. :tongue:
Definitely paint with some of the carbon showing, not too much but enough so you can see it's special when you look closely. I think it's better looking than a D16, not as fat, kind of reminds me of a Supermono:
If you paint it, mask the areas you want to leave black and then let the carbon fiber show through. For example;
absolutely try and have slithers of carbon breaking through and also red to contrast it my rear apron us like that it looks cool
i said fugly, ...........and i get the individual thing and going with what YOU want, trust me, but its still fugly.............. and you did originally say, "just wondering what others think!"
Ok, so i think the people are on my side, to get some colour on it. Like the idea of vinyl with the carbon showing through. I'm not going to like the inevitable seams though. Watch this space, and keep the ideas coming. If there's any one particularly artistic out there feel free to send some ideas, but i need LOUIGI MOTO and CJS Racing to be major adverts.
