I know we have quite a few foodies on here and at least one chef so I thought we could have a bit of light hearted fun with our evening (or lunchtime) meals. The political threads are getting a bit heavy so anything goes as long as it's food you have prepared yourself on the day. I'm always looking for new ideas so could be interesting. Mine tonight was prawns, peppers and mushrooms in white wine and cream sauce on fresh tagliatelle.
I've never managed to eat a Phal although I did try a mouthful of one my mate had, way too hot for me.
My mum used to do something similar! Mind you she also ate tripe, pigs trotters and cows tongue...it's amazing she's still with us.
Just had steak (Lidl’s ribeye), mushrooms in a cream & shallot sauce and home made chips here’s a picture of wantz salt glazing his beetroot for your enjoyment
Ribeye was my favourite when I ate meat. I used to get it from a guy who I shot with. He delivered cattle around the country but sold cuts of meat as a side line. I used to buy a whole ribeye which cut to about 9-12 big steaks for £9.00 then one of the chefs on TV made it famous and the same cut went up to £27.00 almost overnight!
