Too Scared To Buy A Ducati.

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by bradders, Aug 15, 2018.

  1. I’m looking at an upright sports bike (you know, power but with belly clearance room) and keep looking at 1098 and 848 streetfighters. Loved my 848s.

But just can’t to it. To worried it will go pop. Gearbox will let go. Can’t use quickshifter.

    Irrational?!

Shame, few out there in range at the mo and like the being and twins.

  2. The big engine fighters are awesome. :motorcycleduc: @Exige has one you know, but doesn't like to talk about it. :no_mouth:

  3. If I was looking for a road chariot I might get a BMW S1000R Sport. Borrowed one to go to the NW200 and I was very impressed.... Either that or a track slag 1098R ;)

  4. On the list
    S1000r
    Tuono (but really too tall)
MT10 (out of price range really)
    Monster 1200 (like MT10)

  5. That Streetfighter dropped off the list pretty sharpish!

  7. If we listened to our heads, this would be a Honda forum! o_O

  11. Would not go near a Triumph with someone else’s money!

The 1290 is out of price range, and older versions look too much like a buell...

  12. What about a BMW r1200r you will be surprised how well they go and conventional front end as well.

  13. Want more sporty really, so I can keep alongside multi and sell gsxr

  14. I think this might be the best bike i have ever owned. You are welcome to have a blast on mine if you like (top of the M25).

I had never really looked at BMW's before and don't really like the cars if i am honest, but it just does everything so well, and comfortably too. I actually think its quicker than my 1198 as it gets the power down so well, would imagine it's very hard to get it unstuck.

And it also poodles around town like a scooter.
