hi I've currently got a 2013 s touring with the termi from pikes peak and a givi rack and top box and am looking at getting the new s of figures and test ride stack up. Now the dealer has said that the exhaust and rack won't fit so I'd have to buy a new rack and top box. Does anyone know if that's correct as would have thought the exhaust would have fitted and half expected the rack to fit. At worse case would it just be a case of getting a new rack and keeping my current top box. Thanks Phil
I've read it on here that indeed the topbox-rack doesn't fit. Don't even think the new termi-race spec exhaust is out yet in the uk. It's another of those manufacturers tool kit of trickery too make you buy more stuff as you cannot transfer it onto the newer bike'
Thanks. Just had a finance quote from local dealer which was way more than expected so now sure if I'll bother. Currently paying 75 a month on pcp after putting decent deposit down and dealer has offered 10000 px minus settlement figure of 8700 leaving me 1300 px and a monthly payment of 250. Was essentially sold the pcp as different dealer explained it to me that payments would essentially stay the same when came to px. Little disappointed as was expecting around 150 not 250
Went down my local dealers today about top box. For the arms and plate (plates definitely different) about £120 and complete box and kit £479
Similar here. Decided I'm keeping the debt tho so have bought it instead. Go check out a loan: for 200 you can probably get it all in and have it paid off. I based my decision on even leaving just the balloon payment as a pcp balance I'd still pay 2k in interest.
Certainly optioned worth considering. Got another year yet on the scheme anyway. The lower seat height of the new one and the new kit really appeals? Will have a test ride then see what I think. Either way think I may wait till next year to order ready for the summer
The seat height is why I have changed mine. Absolutely no other reason. If I wanted to keep the bike it had to be done. Or I would have has to sell it and buy a k1300 or similar.
The seat height is border line to high for me but can hope on my own but wouldn't like to risk a pillion as can only get a foot down fully by shuffling to the side s little
Pretty similar by the sounds of it. Wife has beenout a couple of times and every stop is a drama. And wants to do more. Touring is a nightmare, camber, fuel stops etc makes me hate it. So seat height alone was worth the near 6k depreciation cost of change after 2 years
Considered that. Tbh nothing does it all like the multi. And I cant get away with a track bike plus 2 road bikes lol
Full termi fitted a few weeks back, they are out but no on line prices you need to talk to your dealer for more info
I think the retail price is 1.7k with upmap plus fitting!! However if you have a good relationship with your local dealer I'm sure they will give you good discount
