Evening all, before I go ordering the wrong top case mount and brackets for a 2013 1200s can someone confirm the part numbers please? I believe the mount should be 82918201A and the brackets 4731B031AA and 4731B041AA? bought what I thought was correct from eBay and now it’s turned up they don’t fit!
Guessing that this is the correct parts listing? So the part numbers you're quoting appear to be correct for your bike. When you say that you bought what you believed to be the correct ones from eBay were those what you bought? According to this compatibility listing these parts only fit the 2013 and 2014 models, quite a limited range. The rack and rails for the 2015 onwards DVT models are likely a lot more common but, according to the above links, aren't compatible.
Thanks, the ones I bought were advertised as from a 2014 which I also believed were the same. However the hole pitches are completely different than mine and the brackets also do not align with any holes and would interfere with the pannier mounting holes
Sometimes the early DVT models are started as being 2014. Not certain but I think the model was maybe released at the end of that year but is officially 2015 >.
thanks, as youve noted there isn’t many second hand available so it looks like a new purchase, which although £40 isn’t much by the time I get the brackets and bolts if needed it soon adds up!
