Am I losing my mind? I’ve had my bars, risers and top yoke coated black. All came apart easily. I’m in the process of reassembling and the top yoke goes first right? Except the centre cap which tightens the steering head bearings doesn’t line up with the middle hole on the yoke. It’s about 0.5mm out. I’ve taken a step away, feel like I’m missing something obvious. Any ideas?
Is there weight on the front wheel? If so, that’s probably why… using an underyoke stand makes it far easier to remove the top yoke. If it’s only a tiny bit out of alignment, you should be able to rock it on by hand.
