Evening Can someone tell me the torque settings for the following on an 851 SP3 please, and whether moly grease/Loctite etc is needed? I have the official workshop manual but can't identify the settings I need (I think something got lost in translation!). Front axle pinch bolts Bolts attaching front brake calipers to forks Bolts attaching footrests to frame Many thanks
Pinch bolts don't need much - between 7-9Nm; for the rest go by thread if not explicitly listed - just finshed my SP4 so same spec I would think as forks are same.
Thanks Kev that's very helpful. I think that chart comes from the Workshop Manual, which I have. I still can't identify the items I mentioned - what are the pinch bolts for example??? However, you make a good point about going by thread size. I hadn't realised that the torque settings for a given size were the same, or at least very similar. Also that the pitch increased with bolt size. As they say, every day's a school day! Thanks again Andrew
