Tow Bar

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Cream_Revenge, Sep 8, 2017.

  1. About to get a tow bar fitted. It's on a 63 plate Focus. Is it worth the extra £100 to get the proper kit that wires to the CANBUS now that it is out of Warranty anyway?

  2. Imho yes for a simple hassle factor. Means if you have a light out or something goes wrong it should tell you (or at least it has on the cars I've had, although never a ford)

  3. almost deffo not, mostly because of the extra labour fitting it.
you can by an amplifier/brake out relay for about 20-30 squid.

  4. unless the extra 100 is covering the labour also. it is a neater job tbf.

  5. £100 fitted for the proper kit.

it's removable one as I have the fancy self-park bollocks.

    £405 wired to brake lights.
£505 with proper CANBUS wiring kit

both inc VAT done at home.

  6. Pay extra and get a removable tow bar

  9. Depends what you're towing? If it's a chavavan, give yourself a damn good talking to and sack the idea :p
