899 Track Day Tyre Pressures

  1. Hi

Anyone got any tyre pressures they recommend for track days? I am running bst's but I guess that won't make much difference

  2. The Pirelli web site offers recommendations. You need to make a choice between setting up with cold pressures or hot pressures. I tend to use cold pressures and start the day with a base setting of 28 psi rear and 31 psi front. Tyre wear will then guide you. If I can find it someone posted a really useful link that explained what particular tyre wear means. Andy

  3. Supercorsa run at lower pressure due to the wall structure. Take your pressures hot - ie off the warmers. 32 front 29 rear.

To be honest 2 pound either way won't make any difference unless your pushing hard in the fast group.

  4. Really depends on waht tyres yiu are running. I run pirelli slicks HOT off the warmers 31/26 f/r dunplop KRs run 31/22,
Supercorsas 31/28 and std road tyres about the same

  5. Thanks for that guys I am running Pirelli

  6. Supercorsas

  7. 31/28 hot off warmers then as a starter, you may need to drop a cple psi if you get the tyres pump up too much when they get hotter.

  8. Thanks for that I'll give them a go
