  1. My two lads have their own cars now and never come out with us and my wife has her own car so I decided to splash out and treat myself.

  5. I know nothing about cars; hadn't realised it is a Boxster, looks like a 911... :-| it does look pretty swish, very nice indeed! Congrats. :):upyeah:

  6. it’s a 718 Cayman not a boxster. The Boxster is a soft top. 911 are silly money.
    20k worth of options !

  14. It’s Shark Blue with Crayon/Black interior.
    This one is the the 2.0 Flat 4 engine, 300hp.
    Got 41mpg driving it home from Leamington S.p.A. to Northumberland

    3.8 flat 6 n/a. The modern DFI 9A1 engine. Very nice.

  16. Ahh well yes old 911s are different. I think the new ones are a bit lardy and have gone away from what the earlier ones were. For me, I’d have a 996 GT3 2nd Gen. I know the 996 wasn’t as popular as other versions but I like the way the 2nd gen looks.

    Had a 928S2 in my youth, that was a wonderful car too!

  17. Blimey, wish I had a 928 in my youth. I had to settle for a mustard coloured Allegro! That was far from wonderful. In fact the word ‘shite’ springs to mind :D

  19. Me too. I had a Mk 3 Cortina, but did move on pretty quickly to a Mk 11 lotus Cortina ;)
