Im gonna go on the offensive here....fucking pointless or what..! https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/2019-triumph-rocket-3/
Soooo MCN 'When Triumph launched the Rocket, they weren’t in a position to cast their own crankcases, which meant they ended up heavier than they would have liked. Now they can, so the cases are lighter, which goes a long way towards an 18kg saving'. Surly they designed the engine so it was up to them, don't think it was based on a current car engine was it? And do they really cast their own crank cases now?
Not quite XDiavel: POWER - 152 hp (112 kW) @ 9500 rpm TORQUE - 126 Nm (93 ft lb) @ 5,000 rpm Dry weight - 220 kg Rocket 3: Max Power 165 bhp (123 kW) @ 6,000rpm Max Torque 221 Nm (163 ft lb) @ 4,000rpm Dry weight - 291 kg
Like to see a moped muppet nick it & try pushing it with their foot whilst riding said scooter. It would break their leg; hopefully
