My Scrambler has the oem 110/80 r18 dual front tyre which I'm looking to replace. The rim is 3" × 18. Once my glass back heals, I'm going for a road specific tyre next time like the Pirelli Angel GT's etc. Would there be any advantage to use either a 110/70 or 120/70 profile? The cafe racer version has a 3.5"× 17" front wheel running a 120/70 tyre so I think the 120 width will be fine on the 3" rim (same steering head base so I presume the same gap width between fork legs). What would you experienced riders use? I'm hoping to do more track days next year so want more performance based. Many thanks.
