Ukmoc Needs New Management

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Chris, Mar 22, 2026 at 1:44 PM.

  1. Sorry to read that this site might even close for want of someone to take over general running of the Forum. The problem is not really one of cost - the annual cost would work out at 50p a member going on current membership.*

Ridden with Rob (slob) a few times, and he's done plenty for the Forum, but there comes a time when you need to stand down.

    A slightly amended quote:-

WANTED Someone to organise and take responsibility for the 'club' & approve membership, moderate the forum, raise funds and do the accounts.
if you just want to stay in touch, plenty of other forums out there, if you want the UKMOC to continue into 2027 then please step up.

  2. Rob's a personal friend and I know how much blood sweat, tears and passion he put into UKMOC, so I hope that his legacy of hard work can be upheld under new management to allow UKMOC to thrive and prosper in the future. He deserves that much.

  3. The forum deserves that much, with its wealth of knowledge acquired over many years and I thought it a bit cheeky that another forum offered to take up the mantle "but it's gonna cost you".

  4. ^ I maybe mistaken but from personal experience the current "management" appear unwilling to let it run solely as a forum, and insist it remains a "Club" with all the attendant problems, i.e. no one is willing to take it on.
Agree, the loss of history is sad, I approached admin on here about migrating across that history and UKMOC shot me down! I've little sympathy.

  5. As far as i'm aware you do have that right, and this is probably the reason why it's hard to get anyone to continue running "it" in it's present form.
