Um222 Chip Fuel Mix

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by sam996S, Nov 27, 2017.

  1. more of a general question than a request for help.

I just installed a clone of the FIM UM222 chip, and disconnected one injector per cylinder, on my 996S.

Out of the box the bike ran insanely rich. Now the bike hasn’t been run for 18 months and just went through a substantial engine rebuild. So it could be a multitude of factors.

I just wondered if anyone else is running one of these chips and found it to be rich too.

The bike is a 2001 996S (ECU 1.6M) with full termi 50mm system.

  2. There might be some useful information in this link, http://www.sigmaperformance.com/weber-ultimap.html but Ultimap uses a now very old Windows operating system. To my knowledge, Chris Steedman of CJS is the only person still offering eprom support. Andy

  3. Cheers for that.

I'll trim the CO2 mix in the short term. Then I'll probably add a PCIII and get the bike mapped (after I've run-in the "new" engine).
