Yes. They are normally carbon. But i would consider anything, I want to do away with the small tank and have a stm breather without reeds so want to make it all nice. What is it you have and how much? Cheers John
something like this bad boy Ducati 748 RS Under Seat Breather Box.To fit 916, 955, 996, 998 Damaged. | eBay
there is one finishing shortly on ebay..........unless its just gone and, you still have a reed valve its just moved up in to the airbox..............effectively the underseat bit make the crankcase air volume bigger but it still needs to be vented and not pressurised by the airbox pressure... ah thats the one......
yes, you replied to the thread i started on here a while ago http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f2/what-advantage-stm-engine-breather-over-standard-2479/ you were the one (andyb) who kindly put the pictures up of where to cut the standard one, and also were the one who has made my mind up for me to do it. the one on ebay, i spoke to the guy after sending him a message via ebay and he offered it me for one price then wanted more for it when we spoke again, so never had it out of principle (things like that piss me off, although i understand it is the sellers perocative)
Contact Febur; http://www.febur.it in Italy, they still make both the small and larger versions, excellent quality. I got mine from them a couple of years ago, cost a little over £200 IIRC.
Not really into bling thing tbh. More into practical. I don't know what the standard one is like as fairly new to ducati's Can you pm me a number? I'll pm mine and if possible if you could send a picture and price. Many thanks John
John, you have standard one. Manga only has one of hem too. I sent my underseat large volume one off to nbe repaired and used as a mould two years ago, seen ssight nor sound of it since. I do know of someone else wholcan make them though, I will get a price for you (as I need another). Mike
