Okay so I've now got my 2001 748R with a 50mm half system and a JHP chip but I'd like to do more. Is it possible to fit a 996R/998S wiring loom so I can use the later generation CPU like the Magneti Marelli [FONT="]IAWA59.MA2 CPU[/FONT] ? Seems bloody frustrating that there is nothing more flexible available for the earlier bikes. Andy
Got told that the JHP chip is not programmable, it is what it is. Never heard of Nemesis so thanks for that Cranker I'll Google it. I just think Ducati are missing a trick, with all the development in electronics over time surely someone could have considered an adaptor. Hey ho. Andy
I have a JHP chip in my 853 and as you say they are not re-programmable but surely if you go to CJS they will fit a new chip and program it to suit your bike ? Steve
Is that still possible Steve ? The message I'm getting in general conversation with my dealer's workshop is that it is all old technology and not supported any more. Sounds like I need to telephone the guys at CJS. Thanks, Andy
get a 998 centre loom part, that will will fit in with the headlight bit and the tail bit that are the same, and bingo you are now later ecu.........to map as you please.........especially when you put the 1098 engine in......
