i want to upload pics from my hard drive not from the web. when i attempt to upload the files to THIS SITE ONLY they are never able to upload. This started a few weeks ago on the site (not on ANY others i haunt). Ps, ive reduced the image sizes in photoshop until they are about 1 pixel x 1 pixel but the site refuses to accept them, the same goes for .gif avatars. other contributors have suggested using flickr and other image hosting sites..seems like a lot of fkn around.
1. In the reply box you have a picture icon with a picture of a tree in it. Press it. 2. A pop-up box will appear with 2 option, computer or Url, if you pick the computer option a box with 'select' will appear at the bottom. Click it. 3. Choose your file from your computer and double click it, then click 'upload'. 4. You're done
Just seeing if I can do it following 749 instructions http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload/218054/images/Ducati_desmosedici.jpg
no, its brought up the URL. i had this when i tried to upload from photobucket. Had to set up an account and all that nonsense. I dont like using 3rd party hosting. I dont even use facebook or twatter.
Funky This is what I did following Figaro's instructions. right click on the picture that you want. select Copy image location ( presumably that info' is now stored onto the 'clipboard' although wtf the clipboard is I'm not sure as I've never seen it, I think it's got something to do with Witchcraft though! press the reply button on this site find the obscure thing that when you hover over it with the cursor says ' insert image press that thing Then an oblong box appears that you can paste the info' that you have stored ( using Witchcraft) into press the o.k button at the bottom of the box, and you should be there.
Soo Funky..... In Mac OS X After you click on the insert image (Top row of pictures in quick reply, the picture of a tree in a frame third from the left in the last box). You click on from computer (Top left) and then select files (bottom middle) You use the file browser to find your image and click open (bottom right) You click upload files (bottom middle) and then nothing happens? Is that right, so far?
