Uprating Paioli Forks

  1. I need to replace the oil seals on my 1982 Ducati Pantah 500SL. When the forks are off the bike I would like to know if there are simple improvements I would regret not doing while I have the chance. Things like different weight oil, change in spacer height, different (progressive) springs, fork brace etc.
    Your advice is much appreciated.
    Cheers,

  2. Talk to maxton suspension, they will help.

  3. On www.ducati.ms I found some usefull information. Seems lots can be done. Main issue is stick slip. Its in the dust seals and in the way the inner tubes slide in the stancions. Also the springs can be changed. Its a matter of time, money and availability to a specialist machine shop. I will start with new springs and oil. Machining the stancions, so sliding bushings can be fitted, will have to wait until I have decided that the bike is a keeper which needs a summer season of riding which I very much look fwd to.
