Hi All, Looking for any views or recommendations for carbon fibre parts for my 2020 V4 Panigale. I’ve seen companies like Maxicarbon and FF Carbon who seem a bit cheaper, but I’m not sure on quality. Any views/suggestions/opinions are welcome thanks in advance Andy
I would stay clear of Maxi Carbon. Poor quality (hard points and threads etc just break off). If they have to manufacture something for you they always quote 6 weeks but it's usually nearer 6 months. Unless you want just a little cover and they have it in stock they're not very good. I had quite a few things from FF and I'm a fan. I find it fits well and the quality is there too. That said, everything needs fettling, mainly hole sizes. I take that as a given with all carbon.
Thanks for the feedback. I never know whether to put any faith in the reviews you see online as you hear so much about fake reviews.
and in my experience everything from FF takes an age (months in my case) to arrive from Germany cos they seem to make to order??
I can't say for Panigale-specific items, but Ilmberger carbon fits extremely well on BMW models (as standard fit on some of them, too), so you might expect similar top quality for Ducatis: https://ilmberger-carbon.com/en/Carbon/Ilmberger_Carbon_Ducati_Panigale_V4S_ab_2025_carbon You'll need to dig down behind the sofa for those extra pennies, though.
