V4 V4 Multistrada Rear Cylinder Plastic Cover Correctly Fitted?

  1. The righthand side rear cylinder plastic cover seems pretty flimsy on my Pikes Peak. The lower rear edge just rests against the rear brake master cylinder (red arrow), and you can flex it outwards very easily.

    Is that normal?

Also, while you're here - the connector(green arrow), does it not need some sort of weather protection?

  2. Next time I’m in my garage, I’ll have look. As for weather proof, I’ve ridden mine through Spain and France in some pretty biblical rain with no issues, so far. Andy

  3. @richtea999, on inspection, it would appear that both the rear brake reservoir and the rear cylinder head cover attach to same mounting bracket and yes, it is flexible and no, they don’t touch but only by the width of a fag paper :D Andy

  4. Theres no additional protection on the r/r connector (green arrow) other than its a weatherproof connector anyway. Your seat appears to be on the high setting, when it’s on the low setting it covers more of the plug. The RH plastic head cover is a bit wobbly wobbly but won’t fall off.
