Not really an issue in the current weather. But I’ve just picked up a 22 plate v4 street fighter. Dealer listed it in the advert as having heated grips but I didn’t think to check before I left the dealership if it actually did or not being fully aware that all street fighters come with the button. Unfortunately dealer was a BMW motorad and not a Ducati dealer so didn’t expect them to have expert knowledge. Just wondering if anyone knows if when the grips are turned on does the display indicate this. Could there be a fault with the grips not heating (they definitely do not) or have I been miss sold. I know it’s not a big issue but nice to know. basically how do I tell if they’re turned on or if the bike actually has them.
Symbol in the display (LHS towards the top I think), green for low, amber for intermediate, red for high, black when switched off but disappears after a few seconds.
Grips come up on eBay, new, for circa £230 every now and then. They have to be activated by your dealer but are easy to fit. Think it took me no longer than 20 minutes and that’s with being a tart with making the wires look real pretty
Thanks. BMW are footing the bill. They listed the bike as having them so now they’ve got to honour that. Ducati Worcester are fitting them next month.
