V4 Thumb/forefinger Rear Brake Hose Routing

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by MJay, May 2, 2021.

  1. Hi All,

Has anyone fitted a bar mounted rear brake to their V4?
May I ask how you routed the hose?

I have a Discacciati set up here ready to fit, wonder if there was any tips or advice anyone could give?

    Any help gratefully received

    Thanks

  2. Route it to the ABS manifold. The rear brake ABS is switched off in RACE. Andy

  3. Thanks, this is a trackbike only.
Not sure I understand what you mean about routing to the abs module? You mean joining to the rear line with a double banjo? Might as well just run it the the second MC that comes with the kit. No?
Its just tthe hose route I am looking at

  4. I'm guessing you want to delete the rear brake lever on the foot rest ? The rear brake caliper is already connected to the ABS manifold so all you need to do is run a line from the handle bar mounted slave cylinder to the rear brake manifold that comes from the slave cylinder at the foot rest. The ABS manifold is under the right hand fairing near the front of the bike. That is unless you are going to delete the ABS manifold totally. Andy
